When it comes to these stealth trailer hitches, these things are awesome. You know what I mean Whenever you're not using 'em, they're gonna be completely hidden, not even gonna know it's there, but whenever you're ready to use a hitch, you're gonna take your accessory, whether it be the receiver tube or a bomb out, plug it in and you're good to go. Well one of the issues, the hitches are gonna come with the larger two inch by two inch receiver tube openings. This is going to be the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter opening. So this will work with those bike racks or cargo carriers that have a smaller shank to them that have that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter attachment. So if you already had some accessories that fit an inch and a quarter hitch, this is going to be the right procedure for you. Since the stealth hitches do come with a standard two inch by two inch hitch receiver.So it's going to attach the same way, just pushes right up into that locking mechanism on your stealth hitch so there's no other hardware that you need to get. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Ford Escape - Hidden Hitch 90219- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford Escape, we'll be installing Hidden Hitch Class II 1-1/4 inch receiver tube hitch, part number 90219. Since this vehicle is equipped with the hands-free liftgate design and our sensor is mounted here between the bumper and the muffler, our opening or sensor area is going to be from here to here between the hitch and the muffler, somewhat limiting our options but still accessible to use the hands-free design. Now with our hitch installed, as you can see, we still have the option of our hands-free liftgate option. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. We've got a nice round crosstube design. While it does sit below the exhaust, it sits far enough forward, it doesn't distract from the look of our vehicle. Here towards the end of the bumper is our class II 1-1/4 inch receiver tube hitch with our pre-drilled 1/2 inch hole. On either side of the receiver tube is going to be our chain hold downs for hooking on our trailer security chains. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Lexus RX 350 - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2014 Lexus RX350 we're going to be installing the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver, part number 75676. Now to begin our installation we're going to need to remove this lower appearance panel. Now there's several fasteners that we'll need to remove in order to take it down. We'll be using a 10mm socket on all of the bolts, as well as a larger flat head screwdriver to remove a couple fasteners over on the right hand side that are kind of like the push fasteners but they also thread on, but if you unthread them they will come back off. Now with all of our fasteners removed we can go ahead and pull our appearance panel down and set it aside for now. Now there will be a total of six mounting locations that we'll be using to secure our hitch to the vehicle. There will be three on each side. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Dodge Durango - Draw-Tite- Video
All right, today on our 2013 Dodge Durango we're going to install Part Number 75713 from Draw-Tite. All right, next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground would be 15 and 1/4 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper is 1 and 1/4 inches. Now I'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. Look on the inside of the frame rail, on both sides there's going to be 2 bolts we have to remove. Now save these bolts, because they will be re-used to install the hitch. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe - Curt c13153- Video
Today on our 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe we'll be installing the CURT trailer hitch, part number C13153. Here's what the hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now I'll give you some measurements to help you select accessories like ball mounts, cargo carriers, and bike racks. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 16-1/4" and from the center of the hitch pinhole to the outer edge of the rear bumper is 5". Now we'll show you how to install it. Before we install the hitch we need to remove the center panel. To do so we need to remove the Phillips push fasteners on both sides, and then the clips on both sides. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Hyundai Elantra - Curt- Video
Today on our 2013 Hyundai Elantra we'll be installing the Curt hitch, part number C11303. This is what out hitch will look like once it's installed. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you when selecting accessories for your new hitch such as a ball mount, a bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4 1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10 1/2 inches. Now we'll go ahead with the installation. Now to begin our install we'll first go ahead and point out the attachment points, one on each frame rail and the manufacturers tow hook here in the center. For our frame rail fasteners we'll be using the half inch carriage bolt and block that'll go into the frame. more

This is a class 1 hitch, so our receiver tube opening is going to measure 1-1/4" by 1-1/4". Now this does have a tab that's located on the inside of the receiver tube. That tab allows for class 1 accessories only, so be cautious of that. more

For demonstration purposes, I have mounted the end wing brackets to the center cross member. This is a custom fit, so its designed to fit the 2003 to 2008 Dodge 1500 Trucks with the factory bumper, and also the 2003 to 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks with the factory bumper. It will also fit any of the Dodge rams that have a factory hitch or without the factory hitch, either way.Basically, the way that would happen is this how these wings will be installed to the cross member. more
